tiffanyb12211 21 Posted April 16, 2023 Did anyone sweat a lot prior to WLS and then afterwards that went away? I’m literally just sitting on my couch with the air on and sweating.
Sigh 196 Posted April 16, 2023 YES! I used to sweat a lot, especially in my sleep— now, its magically stopped! Don’t ask me how, but ill take it!
Recidivist 1,141 Posted April 16, 2023 (edited) I was a profuse sweater and always felt hot prior to RNY surgery. Now I'm always cold and want the heat turned up! That has been an unexpected side benefit surgery, as my spouse is also always cold, and we used to fight about the temperature of the house. ImsexyandIknowit 48 Posted April 17, 2023 I still do sometimes but I get really cold now. That is because I have lost my padding lol
Lisa XO 117 Posted April 17, 2023 I went from being hot 24/7 to being cold most of the time. It is weird.
tiffanyb12211 21 Posted April 17, 2023 I can’t wait for this sweating to stop. I wear certain colors cause I don’t want sweat stains on my shirt
catwoman7 11,220 Posted April 17, 2023 it's pretty common for people to feel cold all the time after WLS! It evidently does something to your internal thermostat. For me it was temporary - the first few months - but for some people, it's a permanent "feature".
