ShannonMae9 1 Posted April 10, 2023 I am 4 weeks and 3 days post surgery - nothing tastes good, following my plan and trying new things to see if finally something will taste good - I've tried meatballs, chicken, turkey, eggs, ricotta bake, LOTS OF THINGS and they all taste horrible - getting frustrated and only applesauce and mashed potatoes taste good enough to be able to eat - I keep reading that this will get better, but I cannot live on these 2 things alone, cannot be good for me! Waiting for April 21st for "regular stage" but don't have much hope that things will taste good then either Have had a couple break downs and cried, but trying to keep my hopes up! 1 NettyD reacted to this

ChubRub 1,709 Posted April 11, 2023 Have you tried greek yogurt? Dannon makes an apple pie greek yogurt that you might like since you like applesauce. Definitely try to get some Protein in! Good luck! 1 MelbaT reacted to this
SuziDavis 546 Posted April 11, 2023 Yeah... we all experience this unfortunately. things I used to love are so gross to me now. It's a good and bad thing. But it will keep changing, so don't write stuff off, you might like it again in a month or so. 2 ShannonMae9 and MelbaT reacted to this
summerseeker 2,250 Posted April 11, 2023 Yes I had this too and its tough. There are still things that I am 'over' I have gradually expanded my diet and found Thai foods are tasty to me. You will sort it out and find your way. Keep trying different foods 2 ShannonMae9 and Smanky reacted to this
