@trclark23 why do you take so many pills? I was advised to take the Multivitamins only 4 times a day with Bariatric Fusion. But I’ve been looking at BariLife for my next go around, they have just 1 Multivitamin per day.

It's what my nutritionist and surgeon said to take?

Hi... I'm new to this thread. My mini gastric bypass surgery was on June 6th. I think my doctor made my pouch too small. I'm constantly nauseous, at least every 3 days. I'm almost afraid to eat. I can only have a few bites of fish...usually salmon and can only eat cantaloupe. I'm no longer able to drink my Protein shake....a few sips make me nauseous. Is or has anyone experienced these?

That's how I was I had to change to a different Protein Shake because I could no longer drink what I was drinking before the surgery, it was giving me gas so bad, I ended up using Ensure Protein max that worked better.

Just dont give up promise it will get better

You said that you take multivitamins 4 times a day, I only take 6 a day and they’re chewables.

They're really not bad to keep up with and I’ll probably transition to something else later down the line.

To be honest, once they cleared me to start taking them, I’ve felt great.

Hi, I’m new to the board, I had my sleeve done on June 20th and just met with my dietitian today who finally allowed me to go onto purées. I’m also having issues with Protein Shakes (I’ve tried 15 different brands) and feeling nauseous with everything I’ve tried. Hopefully purées are a better experience

I’ve used the Orgain brand and it’s much easier on my stomach. Anything with dairy after surgery is painful and makes me sick

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
