I was feeling weak and fatigued as well, I had no pain only from gas I was making myself get out yes I drove because I didn't have a choice. And once I got me some egg drop Soup and when I aye that after straining the eggs out that food made me feel like a brand new person. It will get better for you just don't give up push that devil off your shoulder and tell him not today. You got this. It was so much harder emotionally, mentally, and physically than I was prepared for. I had issues with dehydration/diarrhea, incision area allergic reactions to the liquid bandage stuff they used, it was hard. You will get through it, please just keep that in the back of your mind! I started sipping a little caffeine (some coffee with my Protein shake) and it helped me feel a little more like myself. Each day I had a little more energy. Now I feel almost totally normal! It will get better, just hang in there until it does!
pamelacoa@yahoo.com 4 Posted June 21, 2023 Thank you so much for this, I actually think coffee would help my mindset too! Maybe tomorrow I’ll go to Starbucks and get something skinny and SF and add my Protein to. I’m glad you’re doing better!

My whole worry has been no support from family, so I had to be strong for myself. I have lottery been getting in like 2 miles worth of steps daily. 1 pamelacoa@yahoo.com reacted to this
Gabbie-1 45 Posted June 21, 2023 Hi everyone. Congrats on your surgeries. I had revision from band to bypass 5/15. Still suffer a bit with fatigue. I had drains and the incisions from those are still open and red. Very tender. Sent pictures to nurse. She said just clean them. I just started regular food. Yes things taste different My doc prescribed Celebrex and extra strength Tylenol 4 hours apart and that handled the pain. My body has severe reactions to opioids so I can’t take them. Walking 2-3 miles not every day though and I should Almost 72 yrs old 1 pamelacoa@yahoo.com reacted to this

Thank you for your comment, it’s nice to hear from someone in the same timing as me ! I’m glad you’re doing better. You also reminded me that I am very much listening to the whispers of the enemy right now. So, I have my bible study I have been ignoring open right now. Thank you! 1 rolawre reacted to this

I read somewhere that it can take a few weeks to see weight loss in some cases cuz your body might need time to adjust. Btw do you think sipping something warm will help you feel better? 1 rolawre reacted to this

Acrostic35 2 Posted June 21, 2023 Hi I am three days post op- heading into the fourth. The first 24 hours was rough to be honest. I took hours to come around from being knocked out. I was drugged to the eyeballs which helped a lot. I did regurgitate Water for the first 30 hours which was a little frightening and unexpected but was told it was totally normal. I got home yesterday. I was fine moving about and actually drove myself home. I went to bed afterwards a few times as I am still a little tired and not getting a full amount of sleep. Honestly though no pill or drug is as good as the one you get when you walk back through your own door. I’ve seen some people say they feel a bit down afterward. I haven’t had this. I don’t regret this at all. It was a conscious decision for me and my health and honestly I would do it again. I am on two weeks of liquids at the moment and finding it difficult to get most in but doing my best so happy enough. Each day I have improved.

MarisAthena 61 Posted June 21, 2023 (edited) Hi everyone, I have been dealing with severe Constipation (third week since surgery). I did a bit of research and found something that is actually working for me, it is called Fiberex, it is basically concentrated prune juice with Fiber. I tastes like concentrated sweet prune juice. I drink one little scoop (comes with it) in the evening and everything is fine the second day. I do not know if it will work for others but I thought I should let everyone know. Of course, before you start it, please consult your medical professional. I was just sick of taking other pharmaceutical products and tried to find something natural. Also, I put together a list of veggies, legumes that have high amount of Protein and that might help you when you start incorporating them in your diet. Please see below. I hope this helps some of you. Edamame 1 cup 18.46 grams protein Lentils 1cup 17.86 grams protein Pinto Beans 1 cup 15.41 grams protein Garbanzo beans 1 cup 14.53 grams protein Fava beans 1 cup 12.92 grams protein Lima beans 1 cup 11.58 grams protein Green peas 1 cup 8. 58 grams protein Quinoa 1cup 8.14 grams protein Spinach 1 cup 5.3 grams protein Collard greens 1 cup 5.1 grams protein Artichokes 1 cup 4.8 grams protein Avocado 1 cup 4.6 grams protein Asparagus 1 cup 4.3 grams protein Mushrooms 1 cup 4 grams protein https://www.healthline.com/health/food-nutrition/19-high-protein-vegetables#14.-Chia-seeds https://bcbstnews.com/bluehealthsolutions/10-most-protein-packed-vegetables/ Edited June 21, 2023 by MarisAthena 1 Petkato reacted to this
