newgirl07 0 Posted December 19, 2007 Add another freight car to the Spears train wreck. I'm as sick of Brittany as everyone else and now her sister is showing what great choices she makes as well. MSN quotes her as being "totally shocked." What the hell? Their mom, Lynn is writing a book about...wait for it...parenting! You can't make this crap up. sfeiner 2 Posted December 19, 2007 Well maybe it's a "What NOT to Do" book.
Well It's a "What NOT to Do" book.
footballmom104 0 Posted December 19, 2007 I'm worried about what kind of message this is going to send to young girls, especially the ones who idolize who and what they see on TV - "hey, Jaime Lyn had a baby and she's soooooo cool ... maybe I should, too!" munchkin392 1 Posted December 19, 2007 I know, I was shocked also...what a good role model for all the kids who watch her on Nickelodean.....yikes!
gadgetlady 4 Posted December 19, 2007 Their parents must be soooo sad. One does it and you can write it off as a bad egg. Two and you have to take a good hard look at your parenting skills.
gadgetlady 4 Posted December 19, 2007 I know, I was shocked also...what a good role model for all the kids who watch her on Nickelodean.....yikes! LOL! That's precisely why I DON'T allow my kids to have any teen idols. I refuse to let them get attached to the most recent "clean pre-teen" because I fear what he/she might be in 5 years. And when I explain it to them, I use Mousekateer Brittany as my example.

Sounds like Brit Brits mom could take some parenting cues from you!
gadgetlady 4 Posted December 19, 2007 I think the biggest parenting mistake they made is worshipping the almighty god of money. I don't know too much about the family, but from what I've heard briefly, the parents' income is dependent on the kids' success in entertainment. Not a very responsible way to parent, I would say. Throw your kids to the wolves in exchange for a nice paycheck and what do you get? Kids who were raised by wolves.
Nancy B 0 Posted December 19, 2007 If it weren't for being filthy rich, they'd be trailer trash. Her mom was shocked, because "she never missed her curfew!"

IMO, you can be trailer trash regardless of how much money you have. Didn't you know you can only have sex after 11pm?

I guess it's true what the kids say ... they can do just as much before curfew as they can after !

Paulax 8 Posted December 20, 2007 Kids who were raised by wolves. Actually, I think wolves would do a MUCH better job of parenting.
