I just went camping for two weeks and we lost power and ice in the area due to storms. We moved on and ordered eggy stuff at Tim Horton’s, sandwiches at Subway (didn’t eat the bread), and burgers at local restaurants (no bun but extra lettuce and tomato). In fancier places I ask to order an appetizer as a meal. No one cares. I ended up dropping 5 pounds. (I think the threat of carnivorous animals being attracted to food in the tent had a big effect on healthy habits too. Sigh, maybe I should be more afraid of the giant rats in my apartment building ;)

Chipotle has the best kids meals! I skip the rice but add a Protein, Beans, and a pick a vegi usually the corn or pico de gallo. Baby bag of chips holds about 8 tortilla chips. I usually don’t eat the tortillas.

It's awesome to see others enjoying good kids' meals! 😄 Speaking of which, I've been checking out some UK online supermarkets lately, and they've got interesting options for kids' stuff. Tried a few sacks and found some neat choices. It's worth a peek if you're into that. Anyway, back to the munchies – Moe's Southwest Grill sounds like a hit with the burrito, chips, drink, and cookie deal. Gotta appreciate those free refills too! As for my faves, there's this local joint that serves up mini sliders and crispy tots that are just a chef's kiss.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
