First visit question

I used to struggle with bulimia and over eating. Will my bariatic consult deny because of that history


I was like 17. I’m 31 now.

I’m still in the pre op stage but I think if you’re honest with the psych dr they will require you to go for additional classes which is a good thing because you can really hurt yourself if you over eat after WLS. Good luck sis 🥰

Awesome I don’t mind the classes because I want to be able to care for my body as much and as best as I can

well, all of us are/were guilty of overeating, so for that part, no. For eating disorders like bulimia or BED (binge eating disorder), it depends. If you've overcome it, then no....shouldn't affect it. If it's a current issue, they may have you go through some therapy sessions or something before approving your surgery.
