I pre-seasoned and strained and loved it on the liquid diet pre-op but now it's gross to me... kinda sucks. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app For some reason. the foods that I loved before surgery are the hardest to re incorporate into my diet. Salmon and chicken took me 13 months to begin to eat. Pasta is still a no-no for me. I made beef broth and could not eat it. Later on, at about 6 months out, I made it into the most delicious Pho. I am just in the middle of a flu bug and wishing I still had some in stock. Hold on to the liquid gold

Please tell me the pain gets better fast... Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app I felt like that when twisting for about a week, but that was the main discomfort I felt, aside from getting up from the couch the first few times. It does get better, stay hydrated that helps with bowel movements and you can try stool softener if needed. My incisions were glued, most were coming off by the 4th week because unintentional rubbing with clothes, others I started picking at them have some ocd tendencies lol, do not recommend, scarring its rougher in those. Clashley255 2 Posted February 25, 2023 Are you still taking the pain medicine as needed? That will help you.
Lisa Vivelo 0 Posted February 25, 2023 I am 10 days post opp now! I couldn’t twist to wipe either and the pain landed me back in the ER. But I also was not taking my pain meds around the clock as advised. Summerseeker, didn’t you get any pain meds?

I had one that the glue had started to peel away at one end, so of course I picked at it and was so sorry I did. Ended up with that incision taking months to fully close. I had to get steri strips and this spray glue to try to help it close enough to heal. It's still scabbed over to this date (surgery was 12/13/22) so not fully healed. If you see one starting to come up, try to get some glue spray to help it stay down, you will be glad you did!
Kris Poole 18 Posted February 25, 2023 Yes I got pain meds when I left and even though the glue is lifting at the edges I am consciously working not to pick at them.Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
sabanks 3 Posted February 25, 2023 I had to have emergency surgery because my bowels got clogged so they reentered into two of my incisions which hurts like hell. All my incisions are glued but I have stitches on the inside behind the two incisions that they went back into. So it’s hard to get up and move around or even do much for myself 1 summerseeker reacted to this

This makes getting any exercise in very difficult. I have taken to trying to do exercises that I can do from the bed.Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
sabanks 3 Posted February 27, 2023 Honestly I haven’t exercised at all but I have been focusing on getting back to my normal routine and daily life because I’m a caterer and have been turning down opportunities because of my situation

I was told by my surgeon that I didn’t need to wear it at night if I didn’t want to. She did tell me that I needed to wear it during the day while up and moving around. And she was fine with me taking it off if I needed to nap or for a break. My surgeon never said a thing about a binder! On the bright side, 4 days post op I was able to poop!
