tiffanyb12211 21 Posted January 27, 2023 Does anyone know if it’s possible to have my tubes tied at the same time as VSG since they will be in there anyway?
Arabesque 7,430 Posted January 27, 2023 My thought would be no because they’ll be dealing with a different part of your anatomy & therefore you would need different surgeons with different specialities. They would likely be able to use some of the same laparoscope sites for the surgery so maybe no additional scarring. 2 Tomo and catwoman7 reacted to this
kcuster83 1,504 Posted January 27, 2023 I would ask your surgeon.
LindsayT 596 Posted January 27, 2023 My surgeon said they could. Just have to consult with a gyn and they would come in during the surgery to do it. Talk to your doctor. Sent from my SM-S908U using BariatricPal mobile app
tiffanyb12211 21 Posted January 27, 2023 @LindsayT Did you happen to have that done?
SleeveToBypass2023 2,660 Posted January 27, 2023 That's up to your surgeon and your insurance. Personally, mine wouldn't do it. But some might.
LindsayT 596 Posted January 27, 2023 LindsayT Did you happen to have that done? I had mine done back in 2010, after our last baby. However, during orientation for WLS, the surgeon said they could. It probably all depends on the surgeon and your insurance. Can't hurt to ask the question.
