Dan1131 20 Posted January 13, 2023 I’m 3 full days post op on a sleeve to bypass surgery. I’m finding it a little painful to breath. Not like I can’t breath but deep breath hurt a bit in my lungs. Kinda feels like when I have a chest cold or bronchitis. Is this normal? Just after effects of the anesthesia?
Arabesque 7,414 Posted January 13, 2023 I’d go to a hospital or medical centre/emergency. It may be nothing but best to know & be sure. 1 JohnGraySmiley reacted to this
kcuster83 1,504 Posted January 13, 2023 Yeah, talk to your doctor for sure. It could be nothing, or it could be serious like developing a blood clot in the lung. Better to be safe than sorry!
Vaffles 0 Posted January 13, 2023 The same thing happened to me (sleeved 11/28). The doctor had me use a spirometer for a few days and it cleared right up.

I had to use spirometer for a couple weeks after my surgery too and it helped a lot
