reneehand 2 Posted December 31, 2022 My surgeon's office has told me I can have seafood, chicken, turkey, lunch meat and dairy right now. I have to take small bites and chew every bite at least 20 times. I don't have to puree my food, though I am sure that would be easier to eat and digest. I am one week and three days post-op. I am learning that if I eat too much, then I feel nauseous. I am glad I found this app so I can be part of a community and learn from each of you. summerseeker 2,236 Posted January 1, 2023 Hello and welcome. Did they tell you to have sauce or gravy with your foods ? Dry meats and fish may be difficult for some at the beginning. 2 khtoure1 and Arabesque reacted to this
Spinoza 1,452 Posted January 1, 2023 I agree - lots of sauce with everything at this stage. And if in doubt - eat cheese! 1 khtoure1 reacted to this
BriarRose 432 Posted January 1, 2023 I made tuna salad with yogurt instead of mayo - added Protein to it. Also did this with hard boiled eggs for egg salad. A bit of brown mustard in with the egg salad. The tuna I just used the yogurt and tuna and smashed the heck out of it. Tiny bites and tiny amounts. You could do that with chopped/diced chicken too. 1 khtoure1 reacted to this
