luvcanasta 20 Posted December 22, 2022 Anyone take Benefiber after gastric sleeve? Does it help?
kcuster83 1,504 Posted December 22, 2022 I was told I could but don't need too. I hit my Fiber goals through food and go to the bathroom regularly without supplements. Although, I had bypass but I can't imagine it would be any different for sleeve. 1 Tomo reacted to this
ashleywenz1078 0 Posted December 22, 2022 I was told by my dr this morning if your hitting all your goals for Water fiber will help the texture of it to make you go most smoothly but if your hitting your water goals and still having issues to add fiber into your water/protein water
pintsizedmallrat 473 Posted December 22, 2022 I've had better luck with Probiotics vs any kind of fiber supplement; that stuff tends to swell up and makes me uncomfortably full for hours. 1 learn2cook reacted to this
Arabesque 7,414 Posted December 23, 2022 I took Benefibre for about 5/6 months . I stopped once I was eating a wider variety of foods & larger portions. I kept on top of any Constipation I had but generally found I’d go every two days. If I didn’t go by day three I’d take a stool softener. I didn’t experience any of the prolonged periods of constipation & I think the Benefibre helped to avoid that. I didn’t have any issues with using it but I only had it once a day not three times as I believe it can be taken. I added mine to 250mls of a high Protein yoghurt drink. Think it’s better to add it to a liquid versus applesauce or other puréed type foods. 1 Tomo reacted to this
ShoppGirl 5,007 Posted December 26, 2022 (edited) I took it for several months after sleeve. Just a spoonful a day in my crystal light. I used the generic powder at Walmart. Much cheaper. Like arabesque I discontinued it once I was eating larger portions and more variety. Edited December 26, 2022 by ShoppGirl
