toodlerue 455 Posted December 21, 2022 Hi everyone. Tomorrow I’m having a colonoscopy, the 1st one since my bypass over 4 years ago. I’m a little worried about taking all the SuTab pills with all the Water that is required. The doctor’s office said that my stomach acid will breakdown the pills quickly. But I don’t really have any stomach acid. I’m afraid the pills are gonna get washed down to quickly & won’t work. Anyone else have to do the awful prep after a bypass? learn2cook 592 Posted December 21, 2022 Yes I did. I had a giant bottle of Miralax and some colase tablets with Gatorade. It was ok, everything worked out literally. There’s a fasting the day before too so there’s not much to wash out. You’ll be fine. I asked about it too and the nurse got very specific about the stool color and consistency. I was fine. It doesn’t hurt to ask the day of…by the way they want it to be just like Water, slightly yellow water.
catwoman7 11,221 Posted December 22, 2022 I had the normal prep - which at my health clinic means fasting + a bottle of magnesium citrate followed the next day by that gallon (or whatever) of GoLytely. 1 Tomo reacted to this
