So depressed about my hair

Recommended Posts

Update*

I finally went ahead and had my hair cut above my shoulders. The exact style isn't exactly what I wanted but I love my wavy hair. There is some small growth but I still have a way to go. PXL_20230215_174014067.PORTRAIT.thumb.jpg.a8bcc9e430e69b4a961a46d5c0934f00.jpg

For those of you who have have very light colored hair (blonde, grey/white).....BABY POWDER! In a pinch when I need to extend my shampooing, instead of using dry Shampoo, I discovered baby powder. It hides my scalp, absorbs excess oil and thickens my hair.

It often starts around month 3 & will persist about 3 months. As with all things it may start sooner or later than that and last more or less than 3 months.

Mine came way late like 4 months or something like that.

I completely understand the Hair loss as I have thinned ALOT! My biggest thing is I didn't even think about it happening until it did. I was focused on other things, so it came as a surprise. Every time I plateau I start to get it back, only to lose it when I start losing weight again. I'm hoping that it comes back better when I'm done and only maintaining.

I apologize for my late reply, but this information may be useful to someone else. I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling down about your hair. It's great to hear that the loss has slowed down, though! If you're struggling with Hair loss, it can be really tough to know where to turn for help. I wanted to share my experience with Nova Medical Hair Transplant Miami - their specialists really helped me effectively solve the hair loss problem. I was impressed by their expertise, professionalism, and personalized approach to hair restoration. They use the latest technology and techniques to ensure the best possible results.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
