Anyone sweaty?

Recommended Posts

If the gas, and having 6 cuts on my belly weren't attractive enough....Today, was the first day I went out of the house really, and did some shopping since being banded on the 12th. I felt sick to my stomach, and sweaty, and just...tired...from walking around shopping for about an hour...

anyone else experience this?

Could it be from lack of calories and dehydration? You may have over done it a little.

.

Being newly banded, if you are on the liquid stage of the diet, you are probably not taking in a whole lot of calories yet.

I know that I suffer a great lack of energy when I'm not taking in very many calories and I get that naseous feeling. Actually happened to me over the weekend when I was starting pre-op.

Be careful and take care of yourself!

And congratulations on your new surgery!

I feel that way after every surgery. It takes awhile to really get your strength back after being real inactive for a couple days. That's part of the reason they get people back on their feet so soon after surgery. As you get more active you'll get over that. And as someone else mentioned, be sure you have enough calories to keep your blood sugar level normal.

sweaty? Nope. Now I am freezing all of the time. I used to go outside, in the middle of winter, with no jacket on. Not anymore!! The protective blubber is too thin now!! :)

That is how I feel when my blood sugar is low. If I don't get something sugary during one of those episodes I then get a headache, dizzy, and blurry vision. In the past that has always been a soda. Now I guess it will have to be some sort of fruit juice. It doesn't have to be a lot for me, but it does have to be something.

If you feel that way again, you might try some juice.

Good luck,

Steph

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
