Glowing Cats!

Recommended Posts

Why on earth does anyone need a glowing cat? That would totally creep me out at night. Can you imagine laying in bed and having your glowing cat jump up to sleep on the bed? The critter they created looks like it's radioactive or something.

Aren't there better things those scientists could be doing...like curing cancer or something??? Geez!

Its like any other complicated process sometimes you gotta learn the simplest parts of the process first in order to understand more to figure out the harder parts.

I mean heck you don't just hand a intern the scalpel and say perform brain surgery now. The have to start with the basics then once mastered move on to the more complex.

a procedure which could help develop treatments for human genetic diseases,

The glowing just happened to be a side effect of the experiment.

It would be nice to have a glowing cat for those nights the power is out and you really have to tinkle in the middle of the night...

let the cat out all day long and let em charge up then bring them in at night. They would never be able to sneak up on your normally unsuspecting toes in teh middle of the night.

Hee, hee!! It would have been handy to have a glowing cat back in 2001 when Hurricane Isabel knocked out our power for a week! The only problem is that cats are so darn independent, you probably couldn't get it to walk where you actually needed light!

As far as "genetic experiments" are concerned...South Koreans messing with cats? I don't know about that!

NO NO THINK about it....you would never have to worry about cat's jumping out of the dark closet and scaring you. You would never have to worry about stepping on it in the dark, and the best one, you could see it if it was under the hood of your car so no more cats would be eaten up by another engine!

That has got to be better than cancer research, c'mon CANCER SMANCER! lol..

Just think: wattage! Another thing you can boast about, along with breeding, intelligence, and cute tricks in your cat!

I think they should do that to field mice... Create a good 100,000 glowing deer mice and let em loose to mix with the regulars so offspring would have the glowing gene. Then they would be easier to spot when they get into your house in the middle of the night and scurry around.

It would be funny to see a little glowing mouse in the middle of the night chased by a cat. It would be like using a pen light with a dog.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
