okay I just got my Moon Cheese and couldn’t wait to try it. I got the garlic parmesan and I’m not a fan. Neither is my hubby. Did I just pick a bad flavor?

i've tried a couple flavours of Moon Cheese and it just didn't do it for me...i found them kinda heavy, if that makes sense. greasy without being greasy?

i make my own version which i much prefer...grate some cheese (i use a cheddar and parm mix), sprinkle in a hot pan and melt. sometime i leave them flat like discs, and other time i clump em up into balls. let em cool, and then...YUM.

yes, it requires effort, but it's delicious! and you know exactly what's in 'em! 💪🏼

Oh, wow! My local costco has those. Thank you for the suggestion!

It's so good. the only flavor I don't recommend is the Garlic parm. But the cheddar, gouda and Pepper Jack are soo good!

I don't really go to the movies but when I go out to watch plays or performance arts, I bring string cheese. It's fun to eat and can eat it really slow, making the thinnest strings. I like popcorn but I have a difficult time measuring how much I eat when I go out so I will eat it at home (100 cal bag) sometimes.

I bought a Kinsho Mini Bento Box (attached their photo to show size) & it's PERFECT for small meals out. so far I've used it for boiled eggs, slices of turkey, grilled chicken strips, making cottage cheese based ranch/queso sauce, & soft fruits! I'll add pretzel thins & veggie straws etc when my diet allows it. I'll be using it at the movie theatre as well just so temptation doesn't get to me. highly recommended!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
