SuziDavis 546 Posted October 25, 2022 Has anyone else gotten hiccups more often after surgery? I feel like I get them multiple times a day. I know it all has to do with muscle spasms... so maybe the healing muscle is adjusting, but geez, I don't think I dealt with this after my C-sections. 1 LISS011 reacted to this
Sleeve_Me_Alone 656 Posted October 25, 2022 Yep, I had them all.the.time when I was early post-op. They slowly decreased in frequency and severity, but they are still my "full" queue, even a +year out. As soon as I hiccup, I know I'm done! 1 SuziDavis reacted to this
Tomo 1,194 Posted October 25, 2022 If I don't chew well or if I take one bite too many or eat too fast. It can be hiccup city for me. Otherwise, I don't get them. Early on I got them quite a bit as my body was adjusting and healing. Extremely common early on but not later on. 1 SuziDavis reacted to this

ShoppGirl 5,023 Posted October 27, 2022 (edited) Are you sure you are chewing well enough and not eating too fast. They can occur more often because of those things. For some people that is actually their full cue. Edited October 27, 2022 by ShoppGirl 2 SuziDavis and Tomo reacted to this
ClareLynn 153 Posted November 4, 2022 I had frequent persistent hiccups for like 9 months. It wasn’t related to being full or eating fast. For me they were triggered when I stood up or sat down. I went from 20 a day to less than 1 a day but it took a long time. 1 SuziDavis reacted to this
