Shey Ronix 5 Posted October 11, 2022 Hi everyone hope everyone's had a great weekend me um not so much so on Saturday I got a fill. My doctor also had my xray to see if there was a slip and I'm good he said my band was loose and I already had 7cc in. So we did a .5 fill and then that day I had broth some Water little yogurt ok then the next day I had hot tea and few sips on Premier Protein and that's when **** went south besides me gurgling the whole damn day I'm constantly going to the bathroom and throwing up like spit I couldn't sleep well last night and then try taking care of a 2 year old in the mix of all this. I called my Dr and said I need this fill out he said we only added .5 and u were loose u could of even gotten more in he said I'm super swollen and ontop of all the throwing up makes it more swollen causing the bnd to fit more right he said to hang in there just eat ice chips and what not I mean has anyone one had something similar? Where u thought u need a unfil its to tight then all sudden it gets better and then never needing an unfil? There's a big burp that won't come out and it's like stuck I know the acids are crazy in my stomach since I haven't eaten anything I drink water and it just gurgles I tell my Dr this he says just let's see what happens in another 24 hours I wish there was a 24 adjustment doctor uhh hellp Sent from my DE2118 using BariatricPal mobile app 1 summerseeker reacted to this
PNoble 0 Posted October 11, 2022 When I had the band I found that worrying or being anxious really affected it (made it feel tighter) which doesn’t make sense right? But it was so true for me. Just keep taking tiny sips of Water or chips because you don’t want to get dehydrated. I do hope it calms down for you soon xxxx

I now have permanent esophageal damage because the lap band was so unnatural and damaging. For the life of me, I do not understand why surgeons are still placing lap bands. They pose more harm than good imo. If you're having difficulties with your band, consider a revision! There's better options available now. My bypass feels sooo natural compared to the lap band. I hope this resolves for you soon. Best wishes. 2 Arabesque and Tomo reacted to this
ShoppGirl 5,004 Posted October 11, 2022 I don’t have any experience with band to speak of but have heard of many people who decide to get them removed and do a revision. Not nearly as many doctors are even doing bands anymore because of the issues people are having with them. If you continue to have issues it’s definitely something to consider. 1 Tomo reacted to this
JILLIEMC68 0 Posted December 30, 2022 So sorry you are having these issues. I am having my lap band removed in a couple of weeks. I discovered with an endoscopy that I have Barrett’s Esophagus and the band must be removed as it causes damage. I had all fill removed almost 10 years ago and I don’t have symptoms of reflux but it was still happening without symptoms. Be sure to monitor your esophagus as there could be damage that can lead to cancer.
