No weight loss

Recommended Posts

So its been six weeks of this stall. I have spoken to the nutritionist who gave me some suggestions, mainly switching up what I eat (done that) and exercising more (done that). I'm out of ideas. Does anyone have any suggestions of some things I could try?

Thanks

you had your surgery the day after me. Last 4 weeks i only lost i think 4lb. weight loss slows down as you progress further out. What does your day typically consist of of what you eat?

Are you measuring and logging your food? Most people find that they eat more than thought they were once they start accurately logging their food.

Are you exercising? Maybe change up what you're doing. Log and weigh everything you eat. And watch for non scale victories.

It happens and it will pass if you stay on your plan.

Good luck

Yes, I have been walking. I was told to move the incline of the treadmill up some. I think you are the one who is on incline 3, if that's you more power to you girl. I darn near gave out and had to slow down my speed. LOL

Yes, I do. I use the Baritastic app and use my scale for everything. Maybe I need to up my calories a bit, I don't know.

Yes that's me lol I'm actually at a 4 now for incline and speed at 5. Try adding the stationary bike, maybe get some ankle and wrist weights, and try some stomach crunches. Adding new things, and changing up what you do, can make all the difference.

have you been measuring yourself to see if you have lost inches and maybe gained muscles? especially with that incline on the treadmill you might be creating muscle while still loosing fat

Keep doing what your doing.

Are your clothes feeling different? Take pictures this will help see the change. I was at a 9 week stall. Then I dropped a significant amount of weight. Which will happen a time and again.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
