Mahob001 3 Posted September 25, 2022 Guys is it normal to be terrified of my surgery tomorrow? I am getting the gastric sleeve and this has been a two year process. I’ve been on the liquid diet for 2 weeks and now that my surgery day is here I am extremely nervous. I suffer from anxiety so I know that plays a part. Anyone have this un easy feeling ? 1 KimA-GA reacted to this

summerseeker 2,249 Posted September 25, 2022 As I have said to everyone else who has said this question, myself very much included, we would not be human if we didn't fear the unknown. This surgery is a lifesaving game changer, if only you could see me and others who have had the courage to go before you, you would run to the operating theatre. If this is the right time for you to do this, then you will find the courage to get inside the hospital tomorrow. After that the staff will take over and you will be in safe hands. They know what they are doing even if we don't. Just believe and breath. 1 KimA-GA reacted to this
KimA-GA 540 Posted September 25, 2022 I have lots of anxiety about my surgery and not even a date yet! Totally natural and totally understandable. It’s a huge life change that has to be acknowledged for how different things will be when it’s done. You have come this far and will do great. Remind yourself about how much you can do at a lower weight! Good luck tomorrow… please come back on and let us know how things went!
kcuster83 1,504 Posted September 26, 2022 Of course it is normal to worry. If you ask for something when you get int he back they will give you something to calm down. Good luck! 1 KimA-GA reacted to this
catwoman7 11,221 Posted September 26, 2022 pretty normal - I've had four surgeries in my life, and I always freak out before having one. And they've always gone well!!! 2 KimA-GA and learn2cook reacted to this
ShoppGirl 5,024 Posted September 26, 2022 If you said you weren’t nervous, then I would be surprised. It’s that normal. Just try to focus on all the things you are looking forward to changing in the near future. There is a thread called weirdest non scale victories if you haven’t already made a list of goals. 1 KimA-GA reacted to this
