ShoppGirl 5,024 Posted September 1, 2022 (edited) Have you had a chance to check out the thread called weirdest non scale victories. Hopefully looking forward to some of those changes will help you keep your eye on the prize. kcuster83 1,504 Posted September 2, 2022 I won't lie the gas pain was awful the first night after surgery and the next day for me. (I had a double dose of gas though) After that second day, I had a minor discomfort still in my shoulder/chest areas (still gas) and then I was completely fine. I never took pain meds or even Tylenol once I left the hospital. I think most people's complaint is the gas pain. You will be fine, just remember the goal! 2 KimA-GA and ShoppGirl reacted to this
ShoppGirl 5,024 Posted September 2, 2022 Yea I guess I could have added that I was one of the lucky ones who had very little pain post op. And NO gas pain either. I woke up on pain meds but asked to be weaned from them and left the hospital on Tylenol only. There are plenty more of us out there too. You just don’t hear from them often because they don’t need any help so there is no reason to post about it. Hopefully you will be the same. 1 KimA-GA reacted to this
catwoman7 11,221 Posted September 2, 2022 you may or may not have pain. I would say based on what I've read here for the past seven years is that the majority of us have little to no pain with these surgeries. They'll send you home with pain meds, though, so if you're one of those who has pain, you'll have something to control it. 1 KimA-GA reacted to this
Muffinman1119 84 Posted September 5, 2022 The procedure is relatively quick and will be over before you know it. The gas pains will hopefully be the "worst" part, they are not fun, but getting up to walk will allow for those to go away within a day or two. Best of luck to you!
