StuartJones400 0 Posted September 1, 2022 Hi everyone, I’m 4 weeks post op from a sleeve, how is everyone dealing with mood swings? I’ve lost my patience and can get snappy. Thanks Stuart
ShoppGirl 5,024 Posted September 1, 2022 Though it’s not at all uncommon, I didn’t really have mood swings (anymore than usual I should say, lol). Anyways, I still wanted to say hello and welcome. 1 1 StuartJones400 and kcuster83 reacted to this
StuartJones400 0 Posted September 1, 2022 Thanks ShoppGirl, I think it was down to the lack of energy, I’ve struggled with eating 800 calories high Protein diet.
kcuster83 1,504 Posted September 1, 2022 Hello and welcome! I didn't have any emotional issues either. I do hear a lot of people do, I assume because your hormones may be all wacky from the huge change in your body. I am sure it will regulate and you will be feeling better soon. 2 ShoppGirl and StuartJones400 reacted to this

Ooh I’m not certain that the lack of energy is entirely due to the reduced calories. Although I’m sure that plays a role I think it’s just our bodies are healing and we need more sleep. I was tired for a while too. I just gave into it and took lots of naps. Basically all you can really do. I’m not sure if I was still tired at 4 weeks post op but everyone recovers differently. It’s doesn’t last forever though. Just try to hang in there. 1 1 Arabesque and StuartJones400 reacted to this
djhobbes 37 Posted September 1, 2022 I have found that I am much calmer post-op. Perhaps it is a lack of glucose swings, and perhaps it is a lack of energy later in the day. 1 StuartJones400 reacted to this
StuartJones400 0 Posted September 2, 2022 Hi, I was getting dizzy spells and got called back to hospital, my blood pressure is either high or low, tests showing my liver and kidneys were struggling, now I have a bit more energy as I move onto solid foods but still not feeling right. Onwards and upwards

Onwards and upwards I’m sorry. Did they find a reason for your symptoms or at least refer you to someone who can do some more tests? Is it related to surgery or just coincidence time wise? I am glad it sounds like you are feeling a bit better but if it were me I would still want some answers. Especially since you are still not feeling right. 1 StuartJones400 reacted to this
