catwoman7 11,220 Posted August 29, 2022 yes - but only after you're approved for solid food. 1 Amanda Purser reacted to this
NovaLuna 710 Posted August 30, 2022 They're really high in sodium, but if your nutritionist doesn't have an issue with it and you're on solid food then it should be fine. 1 Amanda Purser reacted to this
summerseeker 2,236 Posted August 30, 2022 I have the small packets of his Beef Jerky all the time. Really high Protein, low in calories and portable. 1 Amanda Purser reacted to this
ShoppGirl 5,005 Posted August 30, 2022 Obviously not until you are approved for solid food but yes. Low calorie, high Protein and very portable foods make some of the best choices for Snacks and that certainly fits the bill. Just watch the sodium if that’s a concern for you. 1 Amanda Purser reacted to this
liveaboard15 1,293 Posted August 30, 2022 beef jerkey like that i eat all the time. Tho you need to look at the label most of those sticks are not 1 serving but typically 2-5 servings which really sucks lmao 1 Amanda Purser reacted to this
pintsizedmallrat 473 Posted August 30, 2022 I like Stubbs ones too, as well as the Takis meat sticks...in the absence of other options, jerky/meat Snacks can be a lifesaver. If you happen upon Epic Bars, they're sort of a similar thing but they're softer and have about half as much salt (I LOVE the bison cranberry ones). I ride a motorcycle and sometimes when I stop, the choices at the gas station are pretty slim pickins but almost every gas station has Jerky. (I wouldn't make them too regular of an indulgence because, as others have said, they're quite high in sodium...but in a pinch you could do worse!) 1 Amanda Purser reacted to this
SkinnyMingo1408 357 Posted September 4, 2022 I have beef Jerky packs in my desk at work for the days I'm not up to pack a lunch or running after work. You will need to be on solid food and like the others said watch the sodium. Sent from my SM-F926U using BariatricPal mobile app
