Found a new protein drink

Recommended Posts

Was hitting up my local dispensary :) and next door was a Vitamin shop so i popped in and found these. 32 grams of Protein and zero carbs, sugar. Taste like blue raspberry. Also had a bunch of different Protein Shakes that i have not seen before. Decided to get one to try out.

I've heard that the premixed Isopure is really good. I haven't tried them. I did get some unflavored Isopure powder and tried it before surgery in some Soup, and I didn't like it at all. That's a lot of Protein for a clear protein drink!

Yea i bought the powder unflavored Isopure before and it was just gross in Soups and didnt really like the shakes i made out of it in the blender. So this one is pretty nice. every other clear drink i found has around 10 grams of Protein. Its a nice change from the shakes.

I tried the red (forget flavor) of the premixed Isopure and it was horrible. Everyone loves them, but I couldn't stand it. They are crazy expensive too. Glad I only bought 1 to try since it went in the trash.

I don't need them now, I have no problem hitting my Protein goals but in the beginning I was always looking for new drinks and/or ways to hit my protein.

Alpine Punch...I tried it, grape, and I think a green apple. I could barely stand drinking them. I did just to get in the protein, but I'd never repurchase.

I liked the Premier Protein Clear drinks which have 20 grams of protein before surgery but couldn't drink them right after post-op. I still have a ton of them at home.

I drank the Gatorade zero Protein Drinks after surgery but they tasted so sweet. I drank 1 a day just to hit my goals and haven't had them since I have been able to eat normal. The blue was the least sweet and my favorite.

I never even tried any other ones, just the 1 Isopure and the Gatorades.

I love those Alani shakes, especially the Fruity Cereal flavor if you can find it. Tastes like Froot Loops!

Hummm. It’s always cool to find new Protein options. Thanks for sharing. I think I may need to readjust my color settings though if I am the only one thinking about mouthwash. lol 😂

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
