Revision to bypass

I had the sleeve done in 2020. Completely failed due to poor choices. Talked to my dr today about a revision. She is going to refer me to someone. Pros/cons? I read that you can do it nonsurgically?

Hi, i had the sleeve on October 6 last year, i lost all the weight and more. Unfortunately my Gerd was so severe i had to convert to bypass. I converted August 23rd so far so good. From what i know there is not a non surgical way to convert to bypass or to get a sleeve revision. I have a friend who had the sleeve and for following certain life style changes gained all the weight back she than got the bypass. She lost all the weight and has kept most of it off, she does struggle a lot and wishes she was more mentally prepare, she believes she wasn’t mentally prepare to make some changes and that has affected her progress both times. So i would say talk to your Dr and see what the best option for you is. Best of luck 🥰

I think they may be referring to the fact that it is laparoscopic now so they don’t do the big incision down your stomach anymore. I just had four very small incisions and one dot (that one is completely non existent now).

Yeah. I got my revision to bypass last week. So far, this has been easier than the sleeve, and I’m just exhausted, but nothing hurts. I had horrible GERD, so they corrected a large hernia and cut my prior sleeve even more, to make it look good (it was enlarged). After all, the surgeon said everything looked great, and I felt ok. I’m hungry, but I think this is more mental than anything. I need to lose around 50 pounds to meet my goal. I was around 20 pounds short with the sleeve, but I could not do it.
