I'm a bit confused? Can you help me understand if you're concerned about your calories being too low or too high? My plan does not have any mention of calorie goals at all, at any stage, so I'm not sure what you're shooting for.

That is just it, I have no idea what my calorie goals are supposed to be. I use myfitnesspal and I am super under but for some reason I thought I was supposed to be between 5-600 right now.

I have been around 500-600 the last few days and just started my 3rd week

That is where I have been too. 800, if I get through all of it today is a huge jump.

I found a great article on calories here but will double check with doctor. How Many Calories Should I Eat After Gastric Sleeve: A Quick Guide (drjalil.com)

I'm new here as well. Scheduled for Sept 20th.

I'm a little disappointed with how little weight I've lost but other than that I can't complain - how about you?

About 13 lbs
Since the 20th? That's over half a pound a day! That seems really good to me! However I know when you don't meet your expectations, it sucks. You got this though! I keep hearing most Dr's don't care about how much you lose until after you start regular food anyway! The rest is just a transition.

My surgery was also 9/20. I’ve “only” lost 4 lbs since surgery. During the preop diet I lost almost 20.

im trying not to stress about it too much but it is a bit disappointing. Just have to remind myself constantly it’s the long term benefits that matter. But yea. I hear you.

Omigosh that actually makes me feel so much better - my doc didn't have me lose prior so I expected big numbers in the first few weeks. Thank you so much really appreciate it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
