Rettak64 34 Posted June 12, 2022 Was doing really good with pain but yesterday thought doing 15 minutes on an elliptical wouldn't hurt (big mistake). Today I am as sore as I was on day 1 after surgery! Still having issues with Water intake but Protein is going fine.Sent from my SM-G981V using BariatricPal mobile app
Hop_Scotch 1,632 Posted June 12, 2022 Has your surgeon given you the go ahead to do exercise already? If not, better give it a miss until they have done so. If you feel you need to do some movement some light walking would be be the best at 6 days post op. 2 summerseeker and Arabesque reacted to this
Tufflaw 465 Posted June 13, 2022 Yikes! I wasn't cleared for surgery for at least a month, possibly two. 6 days is WAY too soon to do anything other than just walking. 1 summerseeker reacted to this
catwoman7 11,220 Posted June 13, 2022 I wasn't allowed to do anything except walk until I was one month out.

Hop_Scotch 1,632 Posted June 13, 2022 Elliptical involves a lot of pressing/bearing down on the core, I don't think that would impact on incision sites, but would probably impact on the stomach muscles. The very same stomach muscles which have been impacted by the surgery.
