lizonaplane 1,613 Posted June 13, 2022 I would suggest meeting with a dietician/nutritionist to get a good idea of what to eat and with a bariatric therapist to work on the eating disorder. Also, make sure whoever is prescribing medication for anxiety and depression prescribes medications that don't cause weight gain, as many do. Have you had surgery yet? Your profile says you are pre-op.

Starwarsandcupcakes 2,071 Posted June 13, 2022 My orthopedic surgeon told me that for every 10lbs you lose it takes 20lbs off your knee joints. The healthier you are going into knee repair the better. I do agree that speaking with a dietitian and therapist about how to manage meals and feelings with regards to having a history of anxiety, depression, and disordered eating. Best of luck. 2 lizonaplane and Lisa LoVuolo reacted to this
ShoppGirl 5,024 Posted June 13, 2022 I agree with those above about speaking with a therapist about the disordered eating as well as the anxiety and depression. Also about seeing your nutritionist/ dietician about changes you can make to your diet to help you lose some weight.
