I am a single mom getting no support so my paycheck is all we have. I make enough to keep my daughter and I comfortable. But no paycheck serious problems. If I get denied I will go back in a week. My desk can go from sitting to standing with just a few cranks of the handle. I remember those days, of being a single mom with no support. Tough decisions. Thankfully, I do have a vacation time bucket that will cover one week - close to two, by the time of my surgery.
BDL58 86 Posted June 13, 2022 My surgery (6/1/21) was robotic laparoscopic duodenal switch. Everything went very well. I had minimal pain post op, no complications. I’ve since lost 147 pounds and feel AMAZING! Best wishes!
ShoppGirl 5,024 Posted June 13, 2022 I have heard of a few people on here that had robot assisted surgery. They all had good things to say about it. I think of it as another tool in the surgeons toolbox and if they are Comfortable using it I’m sure it’s a positive.
Kendall66 16 Posted June 18, 2022 My doctor uses this method. My mother, sister, brother-in-law and niece all had surgery from him with great results
Tomo 1,195 Posted June 19, 2022 Divinci method here as well. It's one of the reasons I chose my surgeon. Sent from my SM-S908U using BariatricPal mobile app
Sunshine Princess 203 Posted June 19, 2022 Mine was done via DaVinci Robot and i had minimal pain after surgery and really easy recovery. No stitches or staples outside, just some glue that fell off after a month. I didn’t need pain medication and i was able to return to work three days after.
