Shhuijon 17 Posted June 11, 2022 Today I had 3oz of zucchini noodles and sugar free Pasta Sauce and man is my heart burn killing me! What is something you take for your heart burn? Or any natural home remedies would be great! Sent from my Pixel 4a using BariatricPal mobile app
catwoman7 11,220 Posted June 11, 2022 it's probably the tomatoes in the Pasta Sauce. I had issues with those the first few months (and still do, occasionally). I'd just start with some over-the-counter thing like Tums or some magnesium-based antacid. As far as home remedies, I know one person who swears by mixing a spoonful of baking soda in a class of Water and drinking that.. 1 SleeverSk reacted to this
Arabesque 7,432 Posted June 11, 2022 Yep, the acid in tomatoes can be a bit harsh to begin. Were you prescribed a PPI after surgery (Nexium or Prilosec, etc.)? Many are. Any over the counter antacids should work if the heart burn is mild. Otherwise just avoid tomatoes for a little while. 1 SleeverSk reacted to this
LaTiaV 111 Posted June 11, 2022 sometimes a couple of almonds can give you some relief.

liveaboard15 1,293 Posted June 11, 2022 I am prescribed Omeprazole for heart burn. Its available over the counter called prilosec... but a script is much cheaper
