fourmonthspreop 510 Posted May 30, 2022 Does anyone have any advice on how to get an affordable personal trainer? I'm just broke enough where that's not really in the budget but I want someone to help me develop my muscle groups so badly. Are there any special online websites or gyms you know of? I'm moving to Texas in a month so I'm thinking of starting there. Sent from my SM-G975U using BariatricPal mobile app 1 GreenTealael reacted to this

ShoppGirl 5,007 Posted May 30, 2022 Someone posted a little while back about a virtual trainer. I think they said it was like a dollar a day. 3 fourmonthspreop, SARAHNEW and GreenTealael reacted to this
liveaboard15 1,293 Posted May 30, 2022 Also you can go on youtube and find tons of videos that personal trainers put out. 3 lizonaplane, GreenTealael and fourmonthspreop reacted to this
lizonaplane 1,613 Posted May 31, 2022 I would watch some youtube videos designed for plus size people. They tend to be gentler and take into account how bigger bodies move. You could also do a leslie sansone walking video (I'm sure you can find that on YouTube as well). You will not find a personal trainer for low cost. Where I live it's about $90-$100 per appointment. 1 fourmonthspreop reacted to this
fourmonthspreop 510 Posted May 31, 2022 I'm really looking for in person opportunities with weight machines. I am pretty decent with my cardio but have no clue what to do when it comes to weight training. I feel like it'll be beneficial for my metabolism and loose skin. (My arms and legs already look atrocious can't wait for maintenence so I can get everything sliced off lol) I guess I could look up weight training videos and bring them to the gym! ShoppGirl 5,007 Posted February 5, 2023 (edited) If you live in a larger town you could take advantage of the free trial and lower cost trainer sessions at each gym. Eventually you will know what to do on your own. Edited February 5, 2023 by ShoppGirl
CanyDome 0 Posted February 13, 2023 (edited) Many people want to get in shape and build muscle, but the cost of a personal trainer can be a real bummer. Online private trainer courses can be a great option if you're on a tight budget. However, I'm sure you won't be able to get in perfect physical shape on your own. I work as a trainer, and I can tell you that it is a demanding job. To have some knowledge about workout design and injury prevention, I took special courses at creatept.com. So do not be afraid to buy a subscription to the gym to a good trainer because your health depends on it. I wish you good luck on your fitness journey!
