Actually down the track if you choose too you can eat and drink at the same time. It's just not advisable. NKB000 6 Posted May 29, 2022 No regrets at all. I had VSG in December 2021, and I have lost 72 pounds from my highest weight of 253 pounds. I feel like my life is very much back on track, and I want to lose another 50 pounds by the end of this year. 4 catwoman7, Deb2022, FarfelDiego and 1 other reacted to this
kmac1 69 Posted May 30, 2022 Zero regrets! Had VSG 2/5/2021. Highest weight was 363. Current weight 185. No more blood pressure meds, no more sleep apnea. I feel in control of my life and have a process to help manage my food behaviors for life. I still log my food every day and follow the guidance of my surgeon and nutritionist. Surgery allowed me to make long term behavior changes. 4 2 summerseeker, Deb2022, FarfelDiego and 3 others reacted to this

Tami10 50 Posted May 30, 2022 Even with everything I went through and the complications I would do it again I feel better. I'm more active and happier. Had my bypass December 2021 down 100lb. Arabesque 7,414 Posted May 30, 2022 After three years, still no regrets. Sure it can be a bit of a struggle at first. Recovery, the staged return to eating, a fussy tummy, reassessing & changing how & what you eat, etc. aren’t easy. That lasts a couple of months or so which is nothing when you consider all the benefits & the rest of your life. To me, it was all very worth it. 7 FarfelDiego, Summermoose, CGA70 and 4 others reacted to this
CGA70 40 Posted May 30, 2022 I had VSG on 5/20/22, so about 9 days out. I’m in the figuring it out phase and return to work this week. But even with all that - no regrets yet. With pre and post-op, I will have lost 30 lbs in May. HW 266 (May 1), SW 248 (May 20), CW 236 (May 29). 2 Summermoose and Deb2022 reacted to this
DaisyAndSunshine 303 Posted May 30, 2022 None what so ever. And like many others mentioned, only regret is not getting it done sooner. It's like the surgery has blew a new life within. It doesn't fix my life completely but there's a new ray of hope that life just may turn out worth living. 2 1 Deb2022, You Are My Sunshine and Summermoose reacted to this

Lou30102015 11 Posted May 30, 2022 I'm only 4 days post op and I've regretted it every second since waking up after the op. The pain is horrendous and support has been none existing... fingers crossed I'll feel different soon 2 2 1 Nina G, SleeverSk, Deb2022 and 2 others reacted to this

Regret is common the early stages I had very intense regret for a few months but it got less and less eventually and now at 10 months out I have no regrets. fourmonthspreop 510 Posted May 30, 2022 No regrets. Over 3 months post op. Lost a lot ot weight and have the beat relationship with food I've ever had in my entire life. I don't miss overeating. All I can remember was how sick and stuffed I felt all the time in the past. That's no longer my reality. I feel so thankful and blessed to be on this journey.
