Doris P 0 Posted May 23, 2022 My surgery was on Jan 31 of this year. So far I have lost over 53 pounds. My weight in Jan was 242 down to 189. My ideal goal is 160. I'm hungry at times more then ever. Is this normal. I try to stay away anything possible that will make me gain weight again. Has anyone else had this issue?
kcuster83 1,504 Posted May 23, 2022 I am only 2 months post-op and I have no hunger. My nutritionist warned me it would come back, and take this time to retrain myself how to eat. Making better choices, healthier Snacks, etc. With that, I would say it is normal. Maybe add a low calorie snack to your days?
Sleeve_Me_Alone 656 Posted May 23, 2022 I had surgery in in Sept. 2021 and have started to have hunger come back. I'm really having to focus on eating regularly, listening to my body, and fight of the urge to graze/binge. This is the work of WLS; the surgery itself only does so much. But what you are feeling is completely normal and nothing to be afraid of. Just time to roll up your sleeves and keep doing the work! 1 LilaNicole20 reacted to this
catwoman7 11,220 Posted May 23, 2022 hunger returns for most people at some point during the first year. Mine came back at five months out. So yes - it's normal.
