Lidia1991 0 Posted May 20, 2022 I am 2 days post sleeve and when I drink anything especially cold drinks it feels like my stomach spasms! That lasts for a few seconds. Has anyone experienced this?

Arabesque 7,442 Posted May 20, 2022 Your tummy is very sensitive after the surgery. Think about how your body spasms if doused in cold Water - same with your poor tummy at the moment. Try warm drinks. A lot of us found them more soothing than cool/cold which can be too harsh on our healing tummy. I made my shakes up using warm water or you can microwave them briefly if pre-made. 2 Rebarr and summerseeker reacted to this

Interesting...I've often drunk room-temperature pre-made shakes. Most people prefer them chilled. Whey-based powders tend clump if the drinks are heated. Plant-based powders can be more successfully heated in the microwave. I fixed an Orgain, "Peppermint Hot Chocolate" shake for Breakfast, added a teaspoon of espresso powder, mixed well, and nuked for 1 minute in the microwave. Mine were whey based & I didn’t have any issue with clumping. Guess it just depends on the product. I used to microwave my chocolate one too & tried to convince myself it was real hot chocolate. Tried but … 😁
