Totallytater 1 Posted December 14, 2007 The night after my surgery the pain in my shoulder was so severe that I had to sleep in the recliner that night. I don't know what I would've done without that recliner. I was so doped up, and it was so comfy. I was so glad my hotel had them in the rooms. I am still sleeping in the recliner 1/2 of the time and on my side in the bed 1/2 of the time.
Wheetsin 714 Posted December 14, 2007 My husband has leather recliners (nice ones, not the big 80s ones that you can barely get in and out of) in his home theater room, and he brought one up to the great room for me post-op. Other than to use the bathroom, I barely got out of it the first two days. Slept in it, waked in it... loved it.
Daisalana 33 Posted December 14, 2007 I got recliners months after the surgery. I probably would have loved to have it! I had a hard time getting in and out of bed.. but I managed. I propped a lot of pillows up.
travelgirl 3 Posted December 14, 2007 I slept in a recliner for the first 4 or 5 nights after surgery. It was a lifesaver!
Twilight 2 Posted December 14, 2007 I made a recliner in the room a must for my hotel stay. Had to call 4 different hotels before I found one. There is NO WAY I could have slept in a bed the first 3 nights. Banded last Thursday and only slept in bed last night and the night before. I can't even imagine what I would have done without my recliner. *shudders* Steph
