I suggested this to a relative a few months ago. She had gained back a lot of her weight due to stretching her pouch after many years. I think she had the RNY about 20 years ago. Her health is poor and I know it's a very safe procedure from what I read. Good to know it has worked for you, thank you! I'll pass on the word. L. Knight 36 Posted March 18, 2023 I plan on having this done March 24th and I’m hoping to lose 40 pounds myself. @alfwc1do you have a good restriction and as of today how much have you lost?
L. Knight 36 Posted March 19, 2023 @GeorgiaPeach48 I hope you are doing well. I’m having this surgery done on 3/24 and wanted to see how your progress was going now after almost 9 months if you don’t mind sharing.
alfwc1 5 Posted March 20, 2023 I had my procedure exactly a year ago. I am doing great. I have lost 80 lbs and am off most of my meds. I am more active now than I have ever been. Good luck to you 1 Tomo reacted to this

claricey 65 Posted May 19, 2023 I had the TORe procedure on Monday 5/15 and I’m still having some discomfort and pain but the nausea and vomiting have subsided. I can’t wait to see the results.
GeorgiaPeach48 5 Posted May 21, 2023 (edited) @clariceyIt took me about 3-4 weeks to feel normal again. You’ll start seeing results soon, if not already. Best of luck! Edited May 21, 2023 by GeorgiaPeach48
GeorgiaPeach48 5 Posted May 22, 2023 (edited) @L. Knight I sent you a PM. Edited May 22, 2023 by GeorgiaPeach48
ChubbyChasersGirl64 0 Posted May 23, 2023 I think maybe try Ozempic or Mounjaro. No surgery and you’ll be successful and then put on maintenance program.

Thanks, @GeorgiaPeach48!! I definitely can use some encouragement. I'm only on day 8 and I'm very hungry and weak as I'm still on full liquids until this Sunday. For some reason this seems so much harder than when I had my original RNY. Definitely seeing the pounds drop on the scale already but looking forward to having some oomph back LOL
