Myaiku_Kuraitani 245 Posted May 10, 2022 I'd get mine every month but it would go on for a few weeks nonstop... 1 Mizzidaj reacted to this
Mizzidaj 1 Posted May 10, 2022 It’s been like 4 months already and I’ve had them every month but this month I only spotted for two days
Myaiku_Kuraitani 245 Posted May 10, 2022 If you're on birth control, I'd take that over non stop ones. But if you're not on birth control, I'd ask a gynecologist about that... Even if you are irregular. 1 Mizzidaj reacted to this
Arabesque 7,414 Posted May 10, 2022 It’s because oestrogen is stored in your fat & as you lose weight it is released into your blood stream causing your menstrual cycle to go haywire: heavier/lighter, more frequent /less frequent, etc. It’s a temporary hormonal boost. It’s also why some surgeons recommend doubling up on your contraceptives. I’m menopausal. That hormonal flush stopped all my menopausal symptoms to the point I was staring to go off HRT. Unfortunately, when my weight started to stabilise they all came back & I went back to taking HRT. 1 Mizzidaj reacted to this

Even those with PCOS. So if you suspect pregnancy is a possibility, take a test. And what others have said, double up on birth control. As Arabesque said, wls changes our hormones and rarely it can even induce menopause in those women who are perimenopausal. This forum is full of threads of previously infertile women becoming pregnant in the weeks and months after wls because they weren't expecting to become fertile so quickly after surgery. 2 lizonaplane and Mizzidaj reacted to this
ShoppGirl 5,006 Posted May 10, 2022 (edited) Mine was longer for several months. I would definitely take as test if there is any sign of pregnancy though because you want to get with dr and nutritionist and make sure you are doing everything to get what baby needs asap.
