Does flavored coffee have calories?

Recommended Posts

I just bought some creamy hazelnut arabica coffee and it doesn’t have any nutrition information on it. It says right on it that it’s artificially flavored though so I would assume it has to have calories in it?? Do they not have to put it on there cause it’s not “food”??

It isn't mandatory for every single food product to have a nutrition label—but it really depends on what the product is and where it is being sold. Some will have a website on its label where you can get the nutrition facts. what exactly did you buy? Can you post a picture of it?

Yea I’m not a big coffee fan but I like iced coffee. I use so much Splenda in it that it doesn’t matter what brand coffee I buy. I like it with almond milk and Splenda and was thinking that’s a pretty low calorie treat but now that I have it home and I think about it the flavored one may have some calories??

Probably does. not much tho. I did buy these ice coffee ones from bariatric pal and they are delicious. Each packet has 120 calories.

Hummmm. Those look good and calories seem okay. I get 30 grams for 160 calories with the caffe latte by premiere Protein. I drink that every morning for Breakfast.

I did call the 877 number for Walmart and they said they were going to ask the supplier and get back to me about the calories. I just figured maybe someone had some idea.

I drink the chocolate one everyday from premier. I have not had the coffee one yet. Need to get me a 4 pack and try it out.

Definitely try it. I don’t even have to drink my Protein anymore but have come to like my morning latte so at over a year out I still have it. It does have caffeine though.

Only the ready-to-drink formula does. Oddly, the powder doesn't.

It's the sugar in the K-cups that makes it 70 calories. If you just switch to ground coffee (no sugars), it's less than 3 calories per serving. https://www.nutritionix.com/i/great-value/creamy-hazelnut-ground-coffee/60b15428794e131b82903405

I wonder why they add sugar to one and not the other. They are both hazelnut?? Man I threw out my coffee pot. Is there sugar In the regular coffee k cups that don’t have flavors too?? I really don’t need the flavor. I add enough Splenda to make it sweet. I just bought those cause they had them in stock in a small quantity box of k cups.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
