Sunshine Princess 203 Posted May 7, 2022 This is really for the ladies… Anyone have their pre-op liquid diet bump right up against the days leading up to their menses? After losing all week, i seem to have gone up a pound and just by how my body feels, i can tell it’s that pre-start Water retention. My surgery isn’t until the 16th but I’m just trying not to freak out about stalling after losing eight pounds in 5 days. I’m going to try upping my walking, diluting the broth with water to reduce sodium, and not have anxiety over all of this.
summerseeker 2,250 Posted May 7, 2022 Don't worry about any of the process, It works. You will loose and its not a race. Have a weigh in every week then you wont have the anxiety of the ups and downs of a daily weigh in. You are doing so well. Give yourself a hug and a pat on the back from me 1 Sunshine Princess reacted to this

Arabesque 7,442 Posted May 8, 2022 You’ll probably pee out your PMT Water retention in a couple of days so it won’t have any real impact on your weight when you have your surgery. Plus, your medical team understand how our bodies work. All the best with your surgery.
ShoppGirl 5,024 Posted May 8, 2022 The liver reducing diet is not really designed to make us lose weight anyways. Some people (especially those who were already on another diet) do not lose much at all and The doctors don’t seem concerned with that. The size of the liver is all that they care about in terms of a safe surgery which is the reason for that diet.
