liveaboard15 1,293 Posted April 30, 2022 never heard of it before. Googling it it appears to be a standard sleeve but it appears they connect the stomach to a part of the small intestine. Is this what you got? 1 Quesodip251 reacted to this
Chiru 3 Posted April 30, 2022 never heard of it before. Googling it it appears to be a standard sleeve but it appears they connect the stomach to a part of the small intestine. Is this what you got? Wow, fast answer! Yes, its kindof a mix of bypass and sleeve! I know it has been done here in Norway since 2015 but not sure about the rest of the world [emoji28]Sent from my SM-N986B using BariatricPal mobile app
liveaboard15 1,293 Posted April 30, 2022 interesting. Never once heard about it in my research. its also not a option here at my area where i got surgery. Wonder what the difference is in benefits with a regular sleeve and bypass

Wonder what the difference is in benefits with a regular sleeve and bypassAs far as i found out when I did research it makes people more likely to keep the weight down compared to sleeve. And food also has 2 options to travel so its less trouble with Vitamin loss. Its also possible to do a full gastroscopy as you have acces to all intestines! And no dumping [emoji846]Sent from my SM-N986B using BariatricPal mobile app 2 SleeveToBypass2023 and liveaboard15 reacted to this
Quesodip251 125 Posted May 1, 2022 Hi Chiru, I also had a combination of the sleeve and bypass on April 26th as well! I’m not exactly sure the name for it other than it’s a form of gastric bypass. I had mine done in Mexico so these kinds of procedures are apparently more common abroad then in the U.S
