steph_co 9 Posted December 18, 2007 I forgot to update after I weighed...I was down an additional 2.5 lbs on Saturday. So a total of 21 lbs since surgery and I'm 4.5 weeks out from surgery, now. Everybody is doing fantastic! I love reading about the losses. mztrniceguy- You are automatically a November Nymph if you had your surgery in November. So Welcome! You are doing a great job. nymph (nĭmf) n. Greek & Roman Mythology. Any of numerous minor deities represented as beautiful maidens inhabiting and sometimes personifying features of nature such as trees, waters, and mountains. A girl, especially a beautiful one. The larval form of certain insects, such as silverfish and grasshoppers, usually resembling the adult form but smaller and lacking fully developed wings. Also called nympha. I think we've been going with the first or second definition, which is why the guys don't quite identify. LOL...I don't think mztrniceguy wants to be referred to as a nymph. I could just see the guys at work. hahahaha I'd like to suggest "Scorpio-Sagittarian Satyr" for male members banded in November. This "Scorpio-Sagittarian Satyr" has lost 30 lbs. since being banded on November 21st. Congratulations to us all... let's just remember, we've all lost and gained before, and the operation was on the stomach, not on the head! I think Satyrs is excellent. It would probably be a good idea that posts addressed to our group say "November Nymphs/Satyrs."

miztrniceguy 1 Posted December 18, 2007 i am absolutly not a nymph, altho years back if i was a gal i could have been described as a nympho. hoping the band will help me recover some of that.

The first step in using yer business is being able to see it. Weight loss has got to be the magic charm for that. What a great NSV that will be. LOL.
Kristin1031 0 Posted December 18, 2007 I am officially back into swimming and It feel s good to be back in the Water I have to admit. I weighed last night at the club because they have a scale very similar to my surgeons office and it has always weighed me accurately to theirs. I had lost and additional 2 pounds. I am so happy with the results of my surgery to date. It is nice to know that finally a decision I made about weight loss is going to pay off.....LOL I agree with a poster I read here last week this is POUNDS that will never come back. I will not let it come back, because I Will never again eat the way I once did, not ever. I will not let myself or anyone else convince me that this one time won't matter. In other words the saboteurs that are alsways telling you this once just have it cause it won't hurt. NOPE not me, I am a changed woman and I love the new Me..!! hollyberries 2 Posted December 18, 2007 I am six weeks from banding and another two weeks since the start of the pre-op diet. I'm down 21.5 pounds so far, but most of it came during the first four weeks. Stil, it's an average of over 3 pounds a week overall, so I am not complaining at all. I'd like to lose a steady 10 pounds a month from now on out. But I'd LIKE a lot of things that I may not get, so I am pretty flexible in my expectations. This week, I am going to start back on the eliptical trainer. That should knock a few pounds off! You are doing great. Keep up the great attitude! Here is to keeping on plan with diet and exercise.
