Not a massive machine gun. But these little capsules. They're filled with lipase, protease, lactase and amylase enzymes. If I'm having any foamies or digestive issues I crack the capsule and pour the powder into a tablespoon of Water. Does the job in ten minutes, like magic!

So...no. A probiotic is a general term for a collection of live bacteria and yeasts that are intended to seed or repopulate intestinal flora. That wouldn't do anything for food that's stuck in the stomach/pouch. These are enzymes, similar to that which you have in your saliva, which break down different types of "food" chemically. So if you have Protein stuck then protease will accelerate its breakdown beyond the normal process provided by the enzymes in your saliva.

after googling and translating it seems to be a probiotic with digestive enzymes. I was not able to find that exact picture for sale in the USA but on Amazon it had this one which seems to be the exact same thing just a bottle instead of a package. https://www.amazon.com/Kyo-Dophilus-Probiotic-Enzymes-Capsules-Packaging/dp/B0015YK0PK

It's exactly that. The Probiotics are by the by - not necessary for my purposes, it's the enzymes I'm after. I initially got some papaya enzymes but I think that's just protease and this is everything in one. Obviously clip the capsule though - we don't have stomach acid (in the pouch anyway) so the capsule would just add to any blockage.

So they work better than papaya enzymes?

Yes, although tasting the powder I think papaya enzymes are included. However there are also enzymes that break down fat and starch as well as Protein so everything is broken down.

I keep some at home, work and the car now.

I'll also say, I have good days and bad days - some days I'm fine and others, especially in the morning, a mouthful of Water seems to take 5 minutes to evacuate my pouch. At those times I've learned to be very cautious with what I eat and stick to smooth yoghurt etc.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
