SleeveToBypass2023 2,650 Posted April 8, 2022 I'm 3 1/2 weeks away from my surgery and I'm SO EXCITED!!!!! I'm not nervous at all. Is that weird? I was a little worried about the gas pain afterwards but I had my gallbladder removed in 97 and they had to inflate my stomach with gas then, too, and I didn't have any gas pain (it was mostly discomfort from the 4 lap scars). Not super excited about the large possibility of major hair shedding, but that didn't happen with any of the other surgeries I had in the past. I also have PCOS, so I'm used to my hair shedding. I have thick hair, so nobody ever notices. And I'm making sure I have plenty of moisturizer for my skin because I've been hearing the surgery can make your skin drier and itchy, and I already deal with that. I don't want it to get worse. But even with that stuff, I'm not nervous or scared. I'm excited and READY!!!!! 3 E.Leigh, CGA70 and CurvyGirl23 reacted to this

There is so much information here! I thought I had done a ton of research but hearing about real people and things they have encountered both good and bad has been very helpful for me. Good luck to all May surgeries [emoji171] I feel the same way - set for 5/20. I’m ready and want to start this new, healthier life! I’m certain I’m doing the right thing and hope all of us come through the surgeries with flying colors!! ❤️ 4 Crisscat, SleeveToBypass2023, Dawnmclamb08 and 1 other reacted to this

I am so excited to be healthier, have less pain, have my comorbidities disappear (I'm talking about YOU diabetes and high blood pressure), and also shop in regular stores in NORMAL sizes (I'm in 28 and 30 now and often have to order online or shop at specialty stores). 4 CurvyGirl23, FarfelDiego, CGA70 and 1 other reacted to this

How long did it take? Was it first approval or did you have to appeal? I have BCBS of Illinois and they did a full approval 48 hours after it was submitted to them. I was like WHAAAAAT???? Even my surgeon's office was shocked lol 2 NewKindaMe and rose28651 reacted to this

gaylekennington53@gmail.com 3 Posted April 9, 2022 I’m set for my RNY May 2. I ordered 2 ounce containers from tupperware so I know exactly how much I’m taking in for my food and liquids during this for weeks of clear liquid diet. I don’t wanna make any mess ups. Good luck to everyone that’s going to have surgery soon enjoy your journey. 3 Crisscat, Merill and NewKindaMe reacted to this
Beentrying4years 2 Posted April 9, 2022 Hi I’m scheduled to have the Sleeve operation on the 10th of May , obviously I am just a tad apprehensive about it but need a monumental life change after years of yo yo diets etc . My plan is to loose weight to my desired / ideal weight and keep it under control . Did loose over 3 stone about 7 years ago by using a Personal Trainer etc but that’s not on my radar anymore 1 1 Merill and Crisscat reacted to this

Nelly 06 19 Posted April 10, 2022 Good luck to all of you. I had my bariatric sleeve on March 10 and let me tell you all, best decision I ever made. I already lost 26 pounds. I was 215, my advise to all of you will be 3 or 4 hours after the surgery get out of the bed and walk. Walk as much as you can, so all the gases come out. 3 2 SleeveToBypass2023, NewKindaMe, Sixtyish and 2 others reacted to this
