Dani1491 9 Posted April 5, 2022 Gastric bypass is set for May 16th. Hopefully that won’t get delayed. I’ve been having some stomach issues, and my primary doctor is wary about approving me for surgery until we find out what’s going on. I can’t wait! 3 sparkly_keeks, FarfelDiego and Dawnmclamb08 reacted to this

E.Leigh 3 Posted April 6, 2022 Hi all! New to the site and I’m scheduled for to have the sleeve May 6th. Pre-op exam and COVID test were scheduled today and everything gets submitted to insurance for final approval tomorrow. Fingers crossed there are no hiccups or delays. Wishing us all safe surgeries and success!! 2 1 Dawnmclamb08, JS and FarfelDiego reacted to this
CGA70 40 Posted April 6, 2022 Hey there! Very excited to meet you and hear how it goes for all of us. Do you think we can lose as much weight with the sleeve as those with bypass?
CGA70 40 Posted April 6, 2022 These are things I think about when I can’t sleep. I’m getting mine in Mexico with OCC and while my family is supportive; my friends think I’ve lost my mind…😅

I just need cardiology approval (stress test is tomorrow) and my EGD on April 11th So I have Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois. My doctor submitted my paperwork on March 30th and I had my approval on April 1st. I'm not kidding. Nobody has ever seen it go that fast. 5 1 rose28651, E.Leigh, NewKindaMe and 3 others reacted to this

With the amount I have to lose, I would be interested in the bypass but I have Crohn's Disease and my surgeon wanted to do the sleeve. 1 CGA70 reacted to this

Do you think we can lose as much weight with the sleeve as those with bypass? My surgeon said in general, sleeve patients lost about 10% less weight than gastric bypass. But he also said that's the average. He said he has seen patients who are really motivated and disciplined actually lost the same or even a little more. Depends a lot on the person. 2 NewKindaMe and Crisscat reacted to this
