Mona Ometuruwa 0 Posted March 15, 2022 Hi there. I had a revision from sleeve to mini bypass about 6 weeks ago. In that time, I've had quite a bit of diarrhoea and loose stools. Sorry for the TMI. It's really gross to me, too. My poop is green and smells UNHOLY. Is this going to last forever? I traveled to the Uk over the weekend and I was concerned about toilet access. Can anyone advise? Thank you.
summerseeker 2,236 Posted March 15, 2022 I had this after surgery but only for about 8 days. I think you have had this for too long, I think you need to contact your team. You must feel drained. If you are away from home and visiting the UK, ring 111 and they will help you with your medical inquiries.
Band07 374 Posted March 15, 2022 Yes that’s my normal. I’m 7 years out and deal with that daily . 1 summerseeker reacted to this
Guest Posted March 21, 2022 Yes, this is normal, and will get better in time for most. Keep in mind sleevers are the majority here, and we're very few posters whose surgeries are primarily malabsorptive. Unfortunately your experience means it's working, but as long as your general health is where it should be, it's no cause for alarm Keep your fluids up (which is easier with MGB!) and you'll find out what works and what doesn't work with your new configuration over time. Feel free to ask more if you need to, and always give your team a call if you're worried.
