Making_changes 14 Posted March 15, 2022 I had gastric bypass on 2-22-22. I would like to say I'm extremely appreciative for everyone on here. The candid topics of bowel movements, pain in abdomen, food and calorie consumption, among other topics, have been refreshing. (Oh, and tips on how to edit a profile!) I do not really post but I am glad to have this community of peers to help and inform me through this change. 5 1 catwoman7, kcuster83, summerseeker and 3 others reacted to this
ShoppGirl 5,023 Posted March 15, 2022 Hello and welcome. How are you doing post op so far??
Making_changes 14 Posted March 15, 2022 I'm doing okay. My surgery was initially supposed to be out-patient, but my vitals dropped while in recovery, so I had to stay 2 nights. The first night I was in a lot of pain and extremely nauseous. The nausea subsided by the time I got home. By the 4th day post op, the pain was just a discomfort; I didn't even need pain meds. I have been focusing on my Protein intake and trying more solid foods. Most things are tolerated. I have been consistently losing .4-.6lbs per day which is nice since my joint and back pain are easing up allowing me to move more. I'm still in the early stages and learning my body. Thank you for asking.

Mine is supposed to and it gives me random weights with ounces but I don’t think it’s accurate down to the ounce or I would have seen losses more like yours. 1 Making_changes reacted to this

Spinoza 1,453 Posted March 15, 2022 I love it here too. If you read back someone has asked every question you will ever come up with. Sounds like you're doing really well. 🤩 1 Making_changes reacted to this
