totally depends on strain and THC level

Yea I honestly don’t know enough about it to answer those questions. I did take what the doctor recommended for me and I’m guessing it was supposed to be calming because it was for anxiety.

Good to know. If I ever do give it another try I will have to ask for sativa or hybrid. I am honestly not even sure what I got but There was no fighting the cravings with the stuff I got. I’m sure it was supposed to be calming though because I got what the dr recommended for anxiety.

You'll have to let us know how it goes when you do. I have the best time with my edibles. Enjoy!

I’m currently taking THC gummies to help with insomnia. I researched the effects of THC and CBD on Bariatric patients before I started and studies show it has no negative effects on weight loss. I originally tried CBD gummies and they made me feel super alert, like I drank coffee. I was up until 5:00am!

The THC gummies are Delta 8 strain, 20 mg per Gummy. I take one and it works within one hour and helps me relax and sleep deeply. I don’t like how I feel afterwards, kinda zombie brained. I only take it about twice per week.

I tried medical marijuana pre op and it gave me the munchies. Doesn’t it do that for you guys? Is there some secret to not eating everything in the house??

So it's been awhile on this post, but! What you really want to pay attention to are the terpenes. Humulene is a terpene that's supposed to curb appetite and is found in many weed strains. If you're going to a dispensary, the labels usually break all that down, but I'd do your homework before buying anything. Good luck!

I hope you're doing well on your journey to managing diabetic neuropathy pain. It's not uncommon for individuals who have undergone bariatric surgery to experience changes in how their bodies process substances, including medications and treatments like medical marijuana.
It's a good idea to consult with your healthcare provider to discuss your observations about the differing effectiveness of tinctures and edibles. They can provide insights tailored to your specific medical history and current situation.
If you're seeking more information on CBD stuff, check out https://releaf.co.uk. They can provide insights on the topic and help you choose what you really need.

Hi I am from a state where marijuana is totally legal. You might want to try a Canna-Tsu Hybrid strain, this strain reduces munchies and some people even lose weight.

Basically look for lower THC, and higher CBD, and TCHV levels.

Thanks all. While I did have gastric bypass in 2015, and pretty much aware of my issues with digesting some things, I just started MM last month, so...had no experience with this.

The edibles are gummies, and I've tried both chewing them up and swallowing, or just keeping in my mouth as they dissolve and get the same results.

At my next prescription renewal, I'm going to get all tincture, with no edibles.

All of the literature I was given by my bariatric team about Vitamins and supplements stated to avoid anything Gummy because it's going to be much higher in sugar and won't absorb as well. That could be the issue.

You could try a tincture. I have one for sleep I use on occasion, you just put a few drops under your tongue and you're good to go.

It sounds like you're on a journey of exploration to find what works best for you. That's totally understandable, especially when it comes to medical marijuana edibles and their potential benefits.

If you're looking to learn more, have you ever thought about checking out delta 8 gummies near you? They might offer a different option to consider.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
