Need to start over. Ugh

I have not been on here for several years. I apologize if this is the wrong spot. I had sleeve 5 years ago and lost 40 lbs. I started at 224. I am currently 212 and have gained 13 pounds since late October. I think I know the answers but looking for help and tips. How do I lose again?

Welcome back @rking. Go back to the basics. 60g Protein, 64oz fluids. Watch portion size. Reduce your carbs, sugar & fat intake. Measure, weigh, track.

You can start of slowly & make one change (swap a food to a more nutritious or lower calorie choice , drop a food choice, increase a food type like protein or vegetables, etc.) each week & see how you go.

You can always get back in contact with your dietician & get them to review your current diet & make suggestions too.

All the best.

Personally I would track calories very carefully for a while to see how much I’m actually consuming and make changes from there.

Then I would clean my kitchen and pantry. Put not so great choices further away and easy substitutes in plain view (reg calorie Snacks vs 100 cal pre portioned snack bags, reg salad dress vs lite version, reg bread vs low carb bread)

Next I would really consider giving up liquids with calories the majority of the time, except a slash of cream for coffee/tea or the occasional Protein Shake.

Last I would begin to make simplified versions of my favorite meals with less calories but more flavor.

(These are all things I’ve done for myself or to help friends)

Good luck, you’ll do well!

I agree with the above. I know I have to start one thing at a time or I get overwhelmed. I start by drinking Water. If I’m drinking all my water I’m taking care of myself. Once that’s an accomplished habit, I include another and keep going.

Hi! New here. Regain of 10lbs due to covid. Still have a total of 30lbs togoal. Help! I know what to do just am not motivated. After spending all of my life dieting I thought sleeve was my salvation. And it is. But the thought of doing this again is so upsetting. My past inner stubborn child has returned and refuses to give up her Snacks and portions [emoji52]received_406636274744423.jpg

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
