Acanthosis nigricans skin condition

Recommended Posts

I have acanthosis nigricans which is the very unfortunate side of PCOS, anyways I was just wondering if anyone who had the bypass and has this skin condition how does your skin look now? did you guys have to have some type of laser, or any other treatments afterward so it can fade?

Mine wasn’t too bad but I did have some Patches of what you’re talking about—on the back of my neck and under my arms mostly. I’m almost six months out from my procedure (sleeve) and have lost 87 pounds and the spots are GONE. I was truly shocked but I even had my fiancé take photos of the back of my neck and it just looks like a neck now!

I had that so bad before surgery. My skin looks amazing now. One thing tho I have the most sensitive skin now. Anything sets off a rash.
